About twenty years ago, Tom Gilovich, a psychologist at Cornell, made a striking contribution to the field of psychology, showing that people are far more apt to regret things they haven’t done than things they have.If I do ever have kids, I'll try to remember to make sure that this is one of the pieces of advice that I drop on them. I know that it's true from personal experience. I've never been windsurfing, and I regret it.
